Trainings on New National Curriculum

National Curriculum and Assessment Center under the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia begins the process of training teachers and representatives of school administrations on new national curriculum. Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Irine Kurdadze and Director of National Curriculum and Assessment Center Natia Jokhadze held a briefing for press on this issue.

National Curriculum and Assessment Center under the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia has developed the National Curriculum for the years 2011-2016. Now the Center begins the most important process – introduction of New National Curriculum. The first stage of introducing the National Curriculum will start in the new academic year for the primary level of general education (I-VI grades).

In more than 30 training centers of Georgia more than 8000 teachers of primary level and 500 school principals will pass trainings in the following directions:

  • Particularities of teaching 5 year old children
  • Our Georgia
  • Information and Communication Technologies
  • Management of the General Education Institution (Administrative Part of National Curriculum)
  • Georgian Language and Literature
  • Mathematics
  • Natural Science
  • Music
  • Sports
  • Inclusive Education
  • Fine Arts

Invited experts, experts of Center and physiologists have also developed the special guidelines and training modules on the New National Curriculum for the teachers and school administrations.
