Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini observed the process of registration of entrants at Agrarian University of Georgia.
Unified National Exams 2011 has started with exam in Georgian Language and Literature. Examinations schedule is as follows:
The exams will be held in two sessions. The registration for the first session begins at 8:00 am and exam itself starts at 9:00 am. The registration for the second session starts at 2:00 pm and exam itself begins at 3:00 pm.
In 2011 the number of registered entrants is 33898. Primary results of the exams will be published in the beginning of August. The exams will be carried out in 15 examinations centers of Georgia.
Some changes have been made in students grant system. 80% of state grants will be allocated on students of engineering and natural science faculties. Studying on humanitarian faculties will be financed only for those students who get 100% grants. The state will finance the study of entrants who don’t gain 100% grants only in case if they have taken fourth exam in natural science subjects.
National Examinations center under the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is also carrying out Unified Master Examinations (July 14-15) and Teachers’ Certification Examinations (July 6-21).
