Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini visited Buckswood Summer School. 150 winners of National Olympiad are spending their summer at Buckswood Summer School and are involved in different sport and cultural activities. The schoolchildren are also deepening their knowledge of English language.

From June 19 to September 10 the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is implementing the project “English Language Sumer Schools in Georgia English Language Summer Schools in United Kingdom”. In the frame of this project 600 successful schoolchildren are strengthening their English. 32 of them are sent to summer schools of Great Britain. Along with Georgian counterparts volunteer teachers of the program “Teach and Learn with Georgia” also work at summer school.

While his visit to the Buckswood Summer School Minister got familiarized with the living conditions of schoolchildren, discussed with them some interesting questions and played with tem popular English game – cricket.

Ministry will continue to organize such summer schools in the future.
