Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini visited Professional College “IT” and got familiarized with the activities of the summer school there.
The project “Summer School” is being implemented by the initiative of the Ministry. All interested persons who are above 11, were eligible to get registered for a month long training courses. Participants of the summer school are trained in 4 professions: computer technician, computer graphics, personal computer user-operator, and computer editing.
108 participants of all age groups take up training courses. These are one of the demanding professions and children with their parents pursue the courses together.
Apart from the summer school in IT technologies, the professional College “IT” hosts a 3D animation course for the staff of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
The professional college “IT” focuses on offering IT vocational programs in the following fields: Web-media Technologies, Computer Networks and Systems, Electronic and Telecommunications Networks. s
Together with the vocational educational programs, the college also offers other short term programs, the programs’ length are from 2 months to 2 years. Up to 3000 persons undertook training programs for the last 3 years, currently 321 students study at the college.
