Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini and director of National Curriculum and Assessment Centre Natia Jokhadze familiarized with the process of National Curriculum (2011-2016) implementation trainings at the Bazaleti Lake Complex.
80 Public School principles of Tbilisi Vake-Saburtalo and Isani-Samgori districts attended 2-day trainings. The topic of the training was Care of the General Education Institutions – Administration Block of the National Curriculum. 500 Public School principles and representative of its administration attended analogous trainings.
National Curriculum and Assessment Center under the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia has developed the National Curriculum for the years 2011-2016. Now the Center begins the most important process – introduction of New National Curriculum. The first stage of introducing the National Curriculum will start in the new academic year for the primary level of general education (I-VI grades).
More than 8 000 teachers of primary level will pass trainings in more than 30 training centers of Georgia during June-July-August in the following directions: Particularities of teaching 5 year old children; Our Georgia; Information and Communication Technologies; Management of the General Education Institution (Administrative Part of National Curriculum); Georgian Language and Literature; Mathematics; Natural Science; Music; Sports; Inclusive Education; Fine Arts;
Invited experts, experts of NCAC and physiologists have also developed the special guidelines and training modules on the New National Curriculum for the teachers and school administrations. Besides, Centre prepares other manual tools for implementation of the National Curriculum.
