Briefing was held on School Students’ Mobility

Couple of weeks is left till the end of the mobility process at general educational institutions of Georgia. First Deputy Minister of Education and Science Koka Sepherteladze held a briefing on this issue and informed the audience on the details of the mobility process.

Student mobility describes the process when students move between different schools and this process is regulated by the decree of the Minister No.114/n (29 June, 2011). Mobility is carried out twice a year, from July 1 to July 31 and from December 25 to January 20.

All students of general educational institutions can participate in the mobility process. The school principal is responsible to administer the students’ mobility process. Ministry can intervene in this process in exceptional cases only.

The school has a right to enroll the prospective student on the basis of an interview or exams in order to identify whether the student’s knowledge matches the level defined by the national curriculum.
