Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini attended a process of registration of the students for the Graduate Record Examinations at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and observed the proceeding of the exam.
Starting from 2009, all MA candidates take GRE. This year, unprecedented number of participants (7 000) got registered for this exam. The exam is organized on July 14 and July 15.
On the first day, the MA candidates take test in critical thinking and analytical writing, the maximum score for critical thinking part is 21, the applicants have to obtain a minimum of 6,4 score. The maximum score for the analytical writing is 24 and the candidates shall get minimum of 7.3.
On July 15, MA candidates take quantitative and verbal reasoning section of GRE test. Maximum score for verbal reasoning is 17, minimum-5,2. Students shall get minimum 5,1 score out of 20 in quantitative section.
In order to pass the GRE test, the students shall cross minimum level of competency at least in 3 sections of the test.
