“Georgia Educational Alliance” awarded successful teachers including those head teachers of public and private schools whose students got high scores in 2011 school graduation exams.
Chairs of “Georgia Educational Alliance”, Tato Shavshishvili and Ghia Murghulia presented the teachers with the methodological textbooks and English language literature; teachers were also awarded cash prizes with the amount of 500 GEL.
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini welcomed the initiative of the “Georgia Educational Alliance” to encourage and support the successful teachers. These teachers have provided the schoolchildren with adequate knowledge and in turn, the schoolchildren were able to pass the school graduation exams, said the Minister.
Tato Shavshishvili assessed the school graduation exams as one of the most successful projects within the general education reforms and on behalf of the “Georgia Educational Alliance” expressed readiness to further encourage the teachers.
