New school is being built in the village Akhuti, Chkhorotsku. Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Nodar Surguladze together with the representatives of the local municipality visited the construction site.
Schoolchildren of Akhuti School have been studying in the amortized wooden building for 15 years and it was a huge problem for the villagers. The problem is now solved and the schoolchildren of Akhuti will begin new academic year in a new school building.
1 million GEL has been allocated for the construction of the school for 240 schoolchildren. The school has the modern central heating and electricity system. The new electricity system will give the schoolchildren an opportunity to have continuous internet connection.
Akhuti School will be provided with modern desks, boards and computers. The school will have gym, where schoolchildren will be able to practice in different kinds of sports.
350 public schools in Georgia have been rehabilitated this year. Akhuti is one of those 12 schools that Ministry is building throughout Georgia.
