By the initiative of the Embassy of State of Israel to Georgia, 5 Georgian teachers working in inclusive education will take part in trainings organized by Mashav Center. First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Koka Sepherteladze and Ambassador of State of Israel to Georgia Itzhak Gerberg held the briefing for the press on this matter.
Three weeks training program “Integration of Children with Special Needs in Normal Educational Environment” will be organized in Tel-Aviv. The participants of the program have been selected through contest. Teachers for Tbilisi and other regions working in inclusive education will take part in this program.
In the scope of the program, Georgian teachers will get familiarized with the process of inclusive education in Israel. As Koka Sepherteladze stated, the program will support the initiation of cooperation between Georgia and Israel in the field of inclusive education.
Education program in Tel-Aviv will be composed of practical activities, lectures, presentations, and visits to different educational institutions.
Mashav Center for International Cooperation supports professional development of Georgian specialists by annually organizing training programs in leading educational institutions of Israel.
