President of Georgia and Minister of Education and Science held an informal meeting with the top ten students who received the highest scores in the national unified exams in the vineyard of the President of Georgia Mikheil Saakshvili. The President congratulated them on their accomplishments and wished the students success in their endeavors. At the same time, Mikheil Saakashvili presented the students with the portable computers made in Georgia.
As the Minister Shashkini emphasized, in 2011, the students have demonstrated higher level of knowledge compared to the previous year. This is the result of the reforms implemented in the field of education for the last year.
This year, majority of the students who have received the highest scores have become the students at the faculties of IT Technologies and Math. At the same time, 40% of the entrants have been enrolled at the faculties of Natural and Exact Sciences.
There is higher demand for the higher professional programs as well.
