Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini visited Azerbaijani Public School #73 of Tbilisi and presented first graders with new textbooks, audio and video materials in Georgian language.
State program “Georgian Language for Future Success” is being implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science upon the initiative of the President of Georgia. In the scope of the program, Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia developed Georgian language textbook for primary level.
The above mentioned textbook was designed according to the modern teaching and learning standards and interactive methods of teaching the language. Interactive methods of teaching language differ from traditional teaching methods and make the language learning process easier.
The textbooks are developed in accordance with schoolchildren’s interests and needs.
The textbook is accompanied by audio visual materials and computer games. These materials will be posted on the web site www.buki.ge and installed in the net-books of first graders.
Till the end of 2011, textbooks will be developed for 1st to 6th levels. During 2012, the textbooks will be elaborated for all levels of basic and secondary education.
