Socially Vulnerable Schoolchild will Study at Georgian-American High school

Upon the initiative of Georgian Ministry of Education and Science, successful and talented schoolchildren who come from socially vulnerable families have opportunity to study in private schools free of charge.

A third grade pupil Tornike Tabatadze- who is a resident of orphanage will be studying at Georgian-American High school from a new academic year. Minister Dimitri Shashkini accompanied him in person to the new school and presented a portable computer.

Tornike lives in the state funded foster care house. From now on, the mentioned private school administration will manage his studies; provide him with the school textbooks, school uniform, food and transportation.

The private school “Mtisgnobartukhutsesi” was the first s school which got involved in the mentioned project in 2010. This year, Georgian-American High school also joined this initiative.
