Resource officers visited Samtredia №15 Boarding School for Children with Special Educational Needs, and together with representatives of the company “Master Sports,” congratulated the schoolchildren and school staff on the beginning of the new academic year. The guests also conferred gifts to the schoolchildren.
The Office of School Resource Officers will arrange many interesting activities in the future as well.
Twenty children (from 11- to 16 years old) live in Samtredia №15 boarding school for Children with Special Educational Needs. The school environment is adapted to the requirements of Children with Special Educational Needs.
The Resource Officers’ duty is to prevent conflicts and provide schoolchildren with any kind of aid necessary. They are not allowed to punish the schoolchildren, but rather focus on ensuring the safety of the schoolchildren. This initiative, being implemented as part of the Ministry of Education and Science's Safe School program, envisages giving parents a full guarantee of their children’s safety.
