The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is one of the first governmental institutions to activate online support service. Today, Minister Dimitri Shashkini was personally introduced to the working process of the program.
The ministry’s online support is run on the program Mibew Messenger, which enables operators to answer online customers’ questions. The service was activated at the end of September and has proved to work effectively. To connect to online operators, one only needs to load the web-page of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia (www.mes.gov.ge) or the Education Management Information Systems’ web-page (www.emis.ge) and submit their question.
Online support is very convenient for customers who no longer have to wait, but instead can receive answers immediately. In the case that customers send questions during non-working hours, the messages will be stored in e-mail form and operators will answer them upon the commencement of the next working day. The service is free of charge and works from 09:00 a.m. till 7:00 p.m.
It should be noted that online support began working several days ago and already registered 3,000 incoming messages. During the month, the hot line received 13,400 calls. The calling centre department utilizes both a video call and telephone hot line along with the online support.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia utilizes all resources to insure transparency of information and to deliver such news timely to the public. Beside online support and the hot line, customers can receive news updates and press releases 24 hours a day via MES’s official facebook page: www.facebook.com/mes.gov.ge; www.facebook.com/dimitrishashkini; www.facebook.com/emis.ge
