Niko Bagrations (Niko Buris) name was given to Mukhrani Public School №1. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Chakhnashvili; the State Minister of Georgia, Mirza (Papuna) Davitaia; the Chairman of Georgian Parliament Diaspora and Caucasus Committee, Nugzar Tsiklauri; the Governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Tsezar Chocheli; farmers from Boer, and South African leading TV representatives attended the meeting.
The Niko Bagrationi’s memorial board and corner were opened in the home where he was born and raised. Located in the village Mukhran the memorial corner describes Niko Bagrationi’s life, and was opened with the support of South African farmers. Boers honor Niko Bagrationi’s (Niko Buri’s) memory, who fought from 1899 to1902 for the Boer’s freedom.
