28 young scientists will have opportunity to enhance their qualification at leading foreign research institutions, in the framework of the 2011 internship grant competition of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation. Nearly 40 researcher from 15 countries of the world, including: USA, England, Sweden, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Baltic will travel to the biggest scientific centers and be involved in the ongoing research activities for several month.
Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation has been conducting multiple grant competitions in the scientific circles to attract young scientists. The Foundation aims at assisting integration of young scientists in the International Scientific Circles support them to develop their skills and enhance their qualification.
General Director of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, Sulkhan Sisauri has talked about outcomes of the internship competition and said that the success of the program is obvious based on the number of volunteers willing to participate. The experience acquired during the internship is very important, as it facilitates young scientists’ professional enhancement and fosters development of research activities to the modern standards in Georgia.
The Foundation has been holding the science-research internship competition since 2009. The young scientists’ trips abroad will be financed from the state budget in the range of 250 000 GEL.
