New Sewing shop at Poti Vocational College

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini, opened a new sewing shop in the Poti Vocational College “Pazisi”. As a part of a UNDP project, the shop was provided with modern sewing equipments including machines, smart boards, a smart podium, and more.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia supplied the shop with 12 computers, and relevant software programs have been installed on the computers to assist the students in acquiring a theoretical knowledge in sewing.

The Ministry undertook a full rehabilitation of the Vocational College “ Pazisi” in 2010; the college was refurbished with modern infrastructure and supplied with relevant technical equipments. International donors such as UNDP and IOM also contributed to upgrading the college's infrastructure.  NRC funded the studies of socially vulnerable and internally displaced persons at the college.

The vocational college “ Pazisi” fully meets the requirements of the modern  labor market and offers specialties in tourism, construction and service sectors.

756 students have been studying at the college for the past two years; 52%  of them have already been employed.
