New professional center building started

The President of Georgia, with the dropping of a capsule, laid the foundation of a new professional center and swimming pool in Gldani. The President was present to speak and symbolically "break the ground" of the new construction site.

The new professional center is an initiative of the President, and Mr. Mikheil Saakashvili will supervise the new center himself. During a meeting with school teachers from Gldani in the Teachers House, the President introduced this new initiative. The new center will be opened in May 2012, and all interested people will be able to attend trainings in technical fields at the center.

The aim of building the professional development center in Gldani is to support capacity building of residents of Tbilisi’s suburbs. The surrounding infrastructure of the center will also be renovated. A swimming pool and sports complex will be built near the center and will be made available for everyone.

As the President stated, such projects will be also implemented in other suburb districts of Tbilisi. Professional orientation centers will be created in order to support the employment of all Tbilisi residents.
