Successful students and teachers were awarded as a part of the event. It was also announced that, on the initiative of the vocational colleges “Aisi” and “Akhali Talgha”, two tourist companies will be established that will employ the graduates of these colleges.
The fair was attended by the Minister of Education and Science, Mr. Dimitri Shashkini, representatives of local government, Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Tourism, EU delegation to Georgia, and UNDP.
The aim of the event was to attract the employers, donors, and prospective students, as well as to increase the income of the college. Nevertheless, 5% of the total amount raised during the event was transferred to a shelter for elderly people.
“Such events will contribute to the development of employment oriented vocational education and further increase the interest of the citizens toward vocational education”, stated the Minister.
