Upon the initiative of the president of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili, Batumi Georgian Dance Company “Khorumi” will travel to Malta. 65 members of Batumi Dance Company who are the students of Batumi public schools will take intensive English language course in the framework of MES educational program.

President of Georgia presented New Year present to the members of the Dance Company, who he has been supporting since 2004. The Dance Company having had no training facility in 2004 is currently being trained in its own training Studio. The Government of Batumi takes care of the costumes for the Dance Company. The company members are presented with opportunity to stage concerts abroad at least three times annually.

English volunteer teachers in the framework of TLG project are also working with the members of Dance Company “Khorumi”. Adjarian students will have opportunity to enhance their English language knowledge and get acquainted to the countries significances and traditions.
