Interested persons can register online from the 9th February until the 9th March. Electronic registration was introduced for the first time last year. Continuing this year, the candidates are asked to register online on the website of National Center for Teacher Professional Development (www.tpdc.ge).
Any interested person who has received a higher education is eligible to take part in competition. The exams will be conducted in two rounds in April, 2012. In the first round, the participants will take individual computer based tests. Those who pass the minimal competence level will be interviewed.
According to the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini, “the main purpose of organizing such competitions is to reveal professionals, who meet the requirements of the standards of the school principals, only qualified personnel can contribute to a continuous school development”.
