In order to prevent law violation among youth, the Geopolitical Research International Center has created the book “My Rights and Responsibilities”. Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Irine Kurdadze held a presentation of the book for the students of Tbilisi Public School №24.
The target group of the book is students of the age 14-18. It is aimed to develop knowledge of human rights and responsibilities defined by the Georgian legislation.
The book provides information about the rights and responsibilities young people acquire as they reach young adulthood, how the law protects their rights and what responsibilities they carry upon its violation, supplemented by practical examples presented in common language. The most common law violations are also emphasized in the book.
The book also includes the most recent legislative changes, norms of civic and criminal law pertaining to under ages.
The book was published in the scope of the project “Schoolchildren’s Rights and Responsibilities”. The project was financially supported by the Civic Institutionalism Development Foundation.
