First Deputy Minister, Koka Sepherteladze, together with students from Tserovani public school #3, visited the Museum of Soviet Occupation.
Every year, in the second half of February, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia organizes different events dedicated to the remembrance of and education about the Russian occupation of Georgia. The aim of these activities is to fully inform students about Russian aggression in 1921 and in 2008. The organization of a tour at the Museum of the Soviet Occupation is one of the activities planned for the schoolchildren.
Different thematic contests, as well as seminars and lectures are also held as a part of this educational week. The schoolchildren have already seen the movie “Soviet Story” and joined the Red Poppies campaign.
