New Educational Institutions will be opened in Sagarejo

Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Davit Bakradze and Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini opened a Language House in the village Iormughanlo of Sagarejo Municipality and laid the foundation of two new schools in the villages Iormughanlo and Lambalo.

1,200 schoolchildren of Iormughanlo, as well as 1,000 schoolchildren of Lambalo, will be able to study at these two modern schools begining in the 2012-13 academic year.

The Language House in Iormughanlo is equipped with all necessary audio and video apparatus and visual materials. Here, the ethnic minority population of Sagarejo Municipality will be able to take intensive trainings in the Georgian language.  People of any age will be able to master the Georgian state language at the Language House. A s[ecial education program has been specially developed for these language courses. By the decision of the Minister, those teachers who will be teaching subjects bilingually will receive salaries of 200 GEL.

In Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli regions, 6 Language Houses are already operating. Such Language Houses will be also opened in other ethnic minority settled regions of Georgia.
