Law Olympiad was held

A Law Olympiad was held today with the support of the Tbilisi City Court and the Ministry of Education and Science. Main goals of the Olympiad include establishing ties among prospective lawyers and the court, enhancing the knowledge of law students and developing their professional skills, and preventing crime.

Students of Tbilisi State University, Georgian Technical University, the University of Georgia, Caucasus University, Sokhumi State University and Georgian State University, competed in the Olympiad. The winning teams were awarded by the First Deputy Minister, Koka Sepherteladze.

The Olympiad was organized in 5 rounds: case solution; legal questions; meaning of legal terminology, competition among team leaders, debate.

The thematic questions of the Olympiad covered the following branches of law: international human rights, criminal law, civil law and administrative law.

A professional jury selected the best teams.
