Kyrgyz Minister gets familiar with Georgian Educational Reforms

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini, held a meeting with Kanat Sadikov, the Minister of Education of Kyrgyzstan, and introduced him to Georgias current educational reforms.

As a part of his visit to Georgia, the Kyrgyz Minister paid a visit to Tbilisi's 1st Experimental School, the vocational college “ Ikaros”, the French School, and the Teacher’s House.

Mr. Kanat Sadikov learned about the President's programto equip all first-graders with netbooks, and attended English Language class conducted jointly by a Georgian and foreign volunteer TLG teacher. Mr. Sadikov also saw the multifunctional “Future Class” room at the same school.

In the scope of his visit to Georgia, the Minister Kanat Sadikov was also introduced to those projects and programs that are underway in the higher and vocational education spheres.  The Minister had the opportunity to visit the Teacher’s House and view its activities.

The Minister positively commented on the ongoing developments in the sphere of education and expressed the willingness for further cooperation with the Georgian Ministry in order to share experience.
