Integration of ethnic minority representatives into the society is one of the priorities for the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The Ministry is implementing the program “Georgian Language for Future Success”. In the scope of the program, Georgian language volunteer teachers are sent to ethnic minority populated regions.

Georgian language text-books as well as supplementary audio-video materials have been developed by the MES especially for ethnic minorities.

By the initiative the President, ethnic minority entrants are able to get enrolled to higher education institutions by passing only one exam in General Skills. Successful entrants are given the opportunity to take one year intensive Georgian language courses and later continue studying on Bachelor programs.
