Georgian Technical University joined Anti-Drug Campaign

Higher educational institutions of Georgia have joined the Anti-Drug Campaign. Today, the student-government of Georgian Technical University (GTU) held the campaign “Sport vs Drugs” in the yard of administrative building of GTU.
In the scope of this campaign, competitions in street football and basketball, table tennis, chess, volleyball, and backgammon were organized. Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini and Rector of GTU Archil Prangishvili took part in the campaign.

At the end of the event, the winners of the competitions were awarded prizes.

MES, together with other governmental agencies, is actively involved in the state Anti-Drug Campaign. The complex measures taken by the Ministry as a part of the safe school concept have decreased the cases of drug abuse among school students. Ministry is committed to continue working with other respective agencies and institutions to prevent crime and drug abuse among youth.
