1st graders online registration has started. From April 2 through April 17, registration will only be held for 1st graders registering at the schools where their siblings study or parents work. From April 17 till April 17, registration will be accessible at other schools.Parents will be able to choose a future school for their children at
www.catalog.edu.ge. This catalog contains the information of all public schools of Georgia.
While registering, parents should submit the following information: Name and Surname of the child and his/her ID number. Once they pass the registration process successfully, they will receive a confirmation, which they must submit at their child's schools.
Those parents who don’t have access to internet can register their children at their local Education Resource Centers. Online registration is only possible for public schools. Private schools are allowed to join online registration process upon their decision.
Online registration is free for everyone and all registered 1st graders will receive a present from the President’s, a “Buki” net-book, on September 15.
From 2011, even 5 year old children are eligible to register in the first grade school. This is upon the decision of parents and is voluntary.
From this year, the registration process will become more transparent and accessible for everyone.
