Austrian teachers at Teachers’ professional Development Center (TPDC)

Austrian teachers visited TPDC to get acquainted with implemented reforms in the education system of Georgia. The first deputy minister, Koka Seperteladze, welcomed the guests and introduced them to the on-going and future reforms in the education sector. The guests visited the multifunctional Teachers’ House, which is equipped with modern technologies.

The delegation come from Innsbruck and was composed of teachers and principals of different levels of Tirol. The Austrian colleagues were especially interested in the Georgian education system and prospects for future partnerships.

Koka Seperteladze introduced the guests to all the new programs of Georgia's educations sector. The Austrian teachers found the projects implemented by MES to foster quality education at schools the most significant.

The Austrian delegation was impressed by president’s initiative to grant all first graders netbooks. The special interest was caused by the initiative to teach English language from the first grade, the project” Teach and Learn with Georgia” advance IT trainings and teaching of exact and natural sciences at schools, “Future Class” project, teacher trainings and etc…
