Registered students should go to their employers’ offices from till May 15 and sign a labor agreement. In case of no-show, the student will be excluded from the program and a new registration will be opened for his/her vacant position.
This President-initiated program for students’ employment, “Summer Jobs,” will begin in all regions of Georgia on July 20, and will last till August 20. All bachelor students of authorized higher education institutions of Georgia are able to take part in this students’ employment program. In the scope of the program, 25,000 students will have a chance to work in summer jobs. Their salary will be 500 GEL.
The Bank of Georgia will issue 25 000 plastic salary cards for the participants of the Summer Job program. At the same time, the students can use this card while performing different bank operations in Georgia and abroad.
The
main purpose is to provide students the opportunity to make the most of their
summer vocation. Student employment programs such as this are being introduced
and developed in other Western Countries.
Governmental organizations and agencies as well as private sector agencies are
becoming involved in the students’ employment project initiated by Ministry of
Education and Science of Georgia.
