Preparation for 2012 International Olympiads

Preparing for 2012 International Olympiads has begun;   75 VIII-XII graders participated in the selection round, held in Tbilisi Public school #51. The teams will be formed out of those students who will score the highest points in the respective round organized at national level. 

The process of selection was closely observed by Deputy Minister, Irine Kurdadze and  Director of National Science Foundation, Sulkhan Sisauri.

Georgia will represent delegations in 2012 international Olympiads in following 4 disciplines: Physics Mathematics, Informatics and Biology, Olympiads will be held in Singapore, Argentina, Italy and Estonia.

The teams for international Olympiad will be formed out of 19 school students. They will be provided the training by qualified scientists before their departure to the respective countries.

Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation under the Ministry has been coaching the teams for international Olympiad for four years. The schoolchildren perform successfully at the competitions.
