Minister visited vocational college in Poti

From May 7 vocational college in Poti will receive 200 students, who will have the opportunity to master new professions. Today, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini visited vocational college in Poti.

The vocational college “ Pazisi” fully meets the requirements of the modern  labor market and offers specialties in tourism, construction and service sectors.

By the initiative of the president of Georgia, volunteers willing to acquire vocational education are granted with vouchers in the amount of 1000GEL and opportunity to study on preferred education programs at 15 different vocational education institutions. Students from socially vulnerable families and active 9th and 12th graders who have decided to proceed with their education at vocational educational institutions will be fully financed by the Government.

Preparing the qualified workforce is one of the priorities of Georgian government, in line with this, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia implements reforms in vocational education field. Rehabilitation and upgrading of the infrastructure, training the staff of these institutions are focused. The college graduates are being successfully recruited by the employers.
