Results of exam in conducting of scientific experiments revealed

In 2012, certified teachers of the natural sciences took a separate exam in conducting of the scientific experiments. Majority of the registered teachers have crossed the competency level and demonstrated good results.
• 90% of Biology teachers passed the exam;
• 83% of Physics teachers passed the exam;
• 74% of the Chemistry teachers passed the exam.
High performance of the teachers were conditioned by the following factors: trainings provided by TPDC, presence of the science labs at the schools, increased salaries of the teachers.
This year, teachers of all subjects can register for certification exams. Certified teachers will receive a salary bonus of 75 GEL. Certified teachers are eligible to pass an integrated test in the English language and Computer Literacy; upon successfully passing this exam, the teachers will receive an additional bonus of 200 GEL to their monthly salaries. As a result of the above mentioned exams, 25% of the best teachers will be paid 1,000 GEL per month. All mentor teachers will receive an additional 180 GEL to their salaries.
