Today, 12th graders are taking high school leaving exam in foreign languages. This time, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini observed the process of examination at Rustavi Public School №4.
12th graders will take exams in 6 more subjects: History (May 23), Geography (May 24), Physics (May 25), Chemistry (May 28), Biology (May 29) and Math.
High school leaving exams 2011-2012 started on May 21 at 9 am in all schools of Georgia with the exam in Georgian Language and Literature. Educational Management Information System (EMIS) technically supports the process of examination. Any interested person can watch the high school exams online via the official web site of the EMIS under Ministry. (
www.facebook.com/emis.ge). Video cams have been installed at all schools to make the examinations process transparent.
The twelfth graders take exams in the format of the CAT system with the computers. All schools throughout Georgia have been technically prepared for High School Leaving Exams. Schools had been equipped with 1500 School Boxes and 11 000 modern computers. The IT specialists had been trained respectively.
Organizational group has been created at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia to handle the issues of High School Leaving and Unified National Exams. Organizational group’s composed of representatives of the Ministry of Health and Labor, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and Ministry of Internal Affairs.
