Popularization of Sport Continues

The
President initiated project that envisages popularization of sports among the
youth, continues successfully. A basketball competition was held among 30
Tbilisi public schools as a part of the mentioned initiative. The teams of
Tbilisi public school #52 and First Experimental School competed against each
other in the final round.
The school tournament was held with the initiative of Tbilisi Public school #24 and League of Education Leaders. The final match was attended by the Minister, Deputy Minister Giorgi Chakhnashvili and the representatives of Basketball Federation.
On the initiative of the President of Georgia, Physical culture classes were replaced by Sports classes in 2011, sport leagues were also created in different kind of sports, the teachers were trained, the infrastructure got renovated, and the programs were being developed.
