Early Childhood Education and Development Week was opened in Mtatsminda park. The event is being held with support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and UNICEF.
The aim of the education week is to increase the awareness of the parents, nursery schools and society as large, on the importance of early childhood education and development.
Various events are planned to be held as a part of the mentioned occasion. Children’s centers are opened in Bombora Park where the children are being involved in different educational activities.
Such kinds of activities are very essential for physical, cognitive and social-emotional development of the children. Leaflets and booklets containing useful information on early childhood development were presented to the parents.
The UNICEF Representative in Georgia, Roeland Monasch, Head of National Curriculum and General Education Development Department, Natia Jokhadze, Head of Social Service and Culture Unit of the Tbilisi Mayor’s office, Mamuka Katsarava and Head of Agency of Kindergartens in Tbilisi, Nino Tevdoradze took part in the opening of the education week.
Early Childhood Education and Development week will be closed in Batumi on June13th with festive events.
