New school will be built in Guria region

Minister
of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini visited the construction
site of new school in the village Khajalia in Lanchkhuti municipality. From the
new academic year, 250 school students will be able to study at the new school.
The new school will have modern laboratories, library, computer classroom and
gym.
The older building of the school had capacity of 100 school students. As the number of school students of this school is 220, the lessons were conducted in two shifts.
New school is being built at the new place, far from the older building, as it was near the railroad and highway and this location does not meet the international standards.
Development of proper education infrastructure is the priority for the government. In the scope of the school infrastructure development project, initiated by the President, more than 600 schools will be rehabilitated and 23 new schools will be built by the beginning of the new academic year.
