By the initiative of the President, from 2012-2013, a new system of the national examinations will be introduced. The entrants will have to pass 8 exams + general ability test to become students. Moreover, the students will be given a chance to take exams several times during the academic year. The results of the exams will be revealed instantly.
According to the Minister, the new model of exams will be less stressful for the students, as the exams will be organized in the schools. The exam tests will be based on the material of the national curriculum only. This will have a positive impact on the families of the school students, as they won’t have to spend much money on providing the tutoring for their children in each exam.
The Minister also highlighted that, a group of experts will finish developing a final model of the exam by August, 2012. From August to September, the tests will be probed in the schools.
The similar model is used by many countries in the world, including France, Germany, the US and Singapore. It aims at providing the young people equal chances to enhance their qualifications.
