Implementation of inclusive education in vocational education of Georgia envisages broadening scale of inclusive education.
Based on the Grant Agreement signed between the two countries, inclusive education will be implemented in state vocational education institutions. Government of Norway will provide methodological and financial support for the period of three years. Total amount of the grant sum is 1,873,845$. Financing from the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia amount for 300.000 $.
The following activities are planned in the framework of the project:
- Amendments to the documents regulating Vocational education
- Attracting persons with disabilities
- Elaboration of professional orientation mechanisms and teaching methodologies for disabled persons.
- Lobbying employment policy for persons with disabilities.
- Providing accessibility to physical environment in vocational institutions.
- Improving human resource in the issues of inclusive education
- Piloting component of pre-vocational education on general education
level.
Implementation of inclusive education in vocational education system will enable persons with limited abilities to acquire profession and be employed.
Representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Ministry of Education and research of Norway attended the signing ceremony.
