Open Door Day at the Ministry

Members of the Commission scrutinizing
cases of the persons dismissed on political grounds from public schools and
resource centers, continue regular meetings with the representatives of
educational sphere and the mass media. Teachers
whose written applications passed the initial stage of reviewing were invited
to the Open Door Day held on the 12th of February.
830 applications were submitted to the Ministry, 440 of them passed the initial stage of reviewing and written replies were sent to the applicants. They were asked to present additional documentation. As of February 8, 2013, 52 written appeals were submitted as a reply to deficiency letters.
The Commission was set up on December 14 (Order №1375) with co-participation of representatives from non-governmental organizations and Public Defender’s Office. The Special Commission is holding regular weekly meetings and open door days.
