Minister meets students of Telavi University

Today,
Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili met with
students and professors of Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University. Minister
introduced a new initiative of the Ministry on financing full BA course (4
years) at state higher educational institutions, in 17 specialties of several
leading directions. Among them, Agrarian Sciences, Engineering, Natural
Sciences, Humanities are the directions that will be fully financed by the
state.
Giorgi Margvelashvili informed the students affected by the natural calamity on the final decision of the Ministry on the issue of financing tuition fee for the academic year 2012-2013. Minister talked about the development of fields that are important for Kakheti Region and the necessity of qualified staff. Minister guaranteed support and assistance in this direction to the University.
