Giorgi Margvelashvili, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia and Kareli Majoritarian MP Leri Khabalovi held a meeting with the pupils and teachers of Kareli Public School 2 regarding free textbooks and got familiar with the conditions in the school. 

There are approximately 500 pupils in Kareli Public School 2, 130 of them are socially unprotected. They have been receiving free textbooks. As the principal of the school noted, more pupils need free textbooks. The school has been helping 50 pupils with the copies of school material and books. Kareli public school purchased Xerox machine in order to help the pupils in the learning process

“I had to pay 250-300 GEL to buy textbooks for my two children, this was a huge sum of money for my family and this is because we don’t have a stable source of income” – stated Nana Butkhuzi, the mother of two children.
