New School to be built in Lambalo

Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili met with teachers and pupils of Lambalo public school in Sagarejo. Minister spoke about the decision to build a new school in the village.  

Old school building in Lambalo has not been functioning since 2006. More than 1000 pupils study in classrooms arranged in families. School is located in several rented buildings some distance away from one another. The pupils are forced to study in harsh conditions, this affects their health.   

As School principal stated, the place where pupils have classes today was a cattle-shed before. Administrative building rented by the school costs 30 thousand GEL annually. There are Georgian and Azerbaijani Sectors in Lambalo public school. 80 pupils are on Georgian sector and 935 – on Azerbaijani sector. 25 teachers out of 70 are Georgians and the rest are Azeri.

According to the decision made by the Ministry of Education and Science new school will be built in Lambalo  and  the pupils will be able to go to modern school.
