Dimitri Shashkini Awarded the Graduates of Higher Universities with Diplomas

120 students of the University of Georgia, who successfully passed Bachelor’s and  Master’s full courses and became first graduates of the University, were awarded with diplomas.

The University of Georgia was founded by the initiative of the professors Ms. Giuli Alasania and Ms. Manana Sanodze and the main aim of this University was to prepare students for Master’s degree in American Studies. The University significantly enlarged in 2005-2007 and Bachelor’s programs were added to the Master’s. The first Bachelor’s degree was granted in September 2005. PhD programs were introduced in autumn, 2006.

The goal of the University is to make the teaching of the social sciences in Georgia in compliance with the standards of highly developed countries, as well as prepare the highly qualified specialists of American and European management methods to work in different spheres. They will also know English and other desirable foreign languages as their native language.
