Today Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili awarded up to 40 finalists of school competition dedicated to 150th anniversary of Ekvtime Takaishvili’s birthday with certificates and gift cards.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia announced two competitions for pupils of basic and secondary education levels of public and private schools: Project competition “What we know about Ekvtime takaishvili” and Blog competition on the topic of Ekvtime Takaishvili’s biography.

The aim of the competitions is to popularize merit of Ekvtime Takaishvili and to encourage research, evaluation and critical thinking skills among pupils as well as development of team working and presentation skills.   

More than 400 works were submitted within the two competitions. The committee set up at the Ministry selected the winners. Each of them (30 in total) received diplomas and bookshop vouchers worth of 100 GEL. 9 pupils were awarded with certificates.
