Today, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Giorgi Margvealshvili and Minister of Education, Culture and Sport of Ajara Giorgi Tavamaishvili held a meeting with the students and teachers of Kobuleti Vocational College “New Wave”. Giorgi Margvealshvili introduced ongoing and planned novelties in the system of education:
Planned activities are directed towards vocational education development and increase in accessibility. The changes will encourage competitiveness on labor market.
Currently there are 679 vocational students in public college “New Wave”. Vocational college has been rehabilitated and equipped with newest technologies. Hotel-type dormitory and restaurant is available for students.
Vocations taught in the College are selected according to Adjara Region Development Priority Plan. These vocations are: operator of heavy construction machinery (motor-driven grader, cargo and hydraulic excavators), crane operator, electrician, frosting machinery technician, hotel and restaurant manager, cook, confectioner, tour-operator (agro tour operator, eco tour operator etc.), barman etc.
