One more unique exhibit in Akaki Tsereteli State Museum

Vice Premier, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili on behalf of Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili handed over a walking stick of  the great poet to Akaki Museum.

The poet gave the walking stick as a present to Artem Shishinashvili’s family when he was travelling in Lacha-Lechkhumi. The stick has been preserved in the family for 100 years. Mamuka Shishinashvili handed over the family relic to Bidzina Ivanishvili as a gift.

According to the decision of the Prime Minister, the walking stick is a property of Georgian people and will be preserved in Akaki Tsereteli Museum.

Literature Institute is publishing twenty volume collection of Akaki Tsereteli’s works. This process is connected with the event of 173 year anniversary of Akaki Tsereteli’s day of birth. First three volumes were presented at the event.

Vice speaker of the Parliament Manana Kobakhidze, businessman Levan Vasadze, Director of Literature Institute Irma Ratiani and other honorable guests attended the event in Skhvitori.
