July 2-7, 2013 up to 1000 contestant from 52 countries competed in 46 vocational skills. Leipzig exhibition center was crowded with supporters and visitors. Approximately 200 thousand visitors attended the competition including opening and closing ceremonies, among them were 1000 media representatives.
Web-designer Ucha Ghviniashvili received two medals. He became the best representative of the country and received Best of Nations medallion on the closing ceremony. Ucha Ghviniashvili was awarded with Medallion on Excellence as well.
Simon Bartley President of the organization awarded National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement with the Certificate of Membership during the Session of WorldSkills General Assembly. Certificates were also granted to Uta Bayer, official delegate of WorldSkills Georgia, experts Sergo Karakozov (web-designer), Gabriel Vatitadze (welder) and Rodam Khidesheli (cook), other contestants and Maka Beraia, the team leader.
Korean team won 32 medals and became the leader team of Worldskill competition. The next competition will be held in São Paulo, Brazil, August 11-16, 2015.
